AI Voicemail & Call Screening ("Katch", "we", "us") is operated by Altor Lab Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Android app and related services.

1. Information We Collect

• Phone number — collected during sign-up via OTP verification, used as your account identity.
• Name and role — optional profile information you provide to personalise your AI assistant.
• Voice recordings and transcripts — audio of calls handled by your AI assistant is processed to generate transcripts and summaries. Recordings are not retained permanently.
• Call metadata — caller number, call duration, timestamp, and AI-generated category and urgency labels.
• Device information — Android device identifiers used for app functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To answer your missed calls using AI and deliver call summaries to you via SMS.
• To detect and filter spam and robocalls.
• To improve the accuracy and quality of our AI assistant.
• To send you transactional SMS messages (OTPs, call summaries).

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third parties to operate the service:

• Twilio — telephony provider. Caller audio and phone numbers are routed through Twilio's infrastructure. Twilio's privacy policy applies: twilio.com/legal/privacy
• OpenAI — used to generate post-call summaries. Call transcripts are sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's privacy policy: openai.com/privacy
• ElevenLabs — used for real-time AI conversation during calls. ElevenLabs' privacy policy: elevenlabs.io/privacy
• Turso — used for secure database storage of your call records.

4. Data Retention

Call transcripts and summaries are stored until you delete them from the app or delete your account. We do not retain raw audio recordings after transcription is complete.

5. Call Recording Disclosure

All calls handled by your AI assistant begin with a greeting that identifies the caller is speaking to an AI assistant. By using this service, you acknowledge that calls may be recorded and transcribed for the purpose of delivering summaries to you.

6. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of your data by contacting privacy@katch.app.
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing privacy@katch.app.
• Correction: Update your profile information at any time in the app.

7. Security

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+. Data at rest is stored in encrypted databases hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States.

8. International Transfers

This service is operated from India and data is processed in the United States (AWS, Twilio, OpenAI, ElevenLabs). By using the service, you consent to this transfer.

9. Children

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
